Hailing all NYC lovers of freedom

Why should anyone have to beg bureaucrats for permission to let you get persons wanting a ride in touch with persons wanting to give them a ride? Why should any peaceful arrangement between a customer and a service provider be banned, required or otherwise regulated? But NYC is the town the mayor of which thinks it’s okay to ban “too large” helpings of soda.
